Walkers Shortbread to launch two new Royal tins

In the heart of beautiful Speyside in the Scottish Highlands, sits the village of Aberlour where the Walker family has been producing the world's finest shortbread for over a hundred years.

The company was founded by Joseph Walker in 1898 and today his grandchildren and great grandchildren carry forward the tradition of baking the finest products – using his original recipes.
The only food manufacturing company to have won the Queen's Award for Export Achievement on four occasions. Walkers still bake in small batches to guarantee the classic flavour and appearance for which they are famed.

Walkers shortbread is baked as it always has been, using pure creamery butter, flour, sugar and salt. A wide range of varieties and sizes makes Walkers the most extensive selection of pure butter shortbread available – a favourite at home and abroad.

Like shortbread, oatcakes have been enjoyed in Scotland for generations. Bake to a traditional recipe, they are made almost entirely from either coarse or fine-grained oats. Their texture and nutty flavour make a delicious accompaniment to both sweet and savoury toppings. Walkers were granted the Royal Warrant by Her Majesty the Queen in 2002 for the supply of their oatcakes.

In its distinctive tartan packaging, Walkers range of products is packed with Scottish character – both inside and out. The very name is a sign of quality and excellence the World over. A true Scottish Classic.

For the Coronation Festival Walkers Shortbread are planning to launch two new Royal tins which include a specially designed shortbread to contain Her Majesty's EIIR insignia! You will also be able to see their range of pure butter shortbreads.
