Set amongst the Gardens, visitors to the Coronation Festival were astounded by the technological advances and innovations that the nation has seen during Her Majesty The Queen's reign. This area hosted the best in cutting-edge technology and design that British Industry has to offer. Visitors enjoyed interactive features, displays and informative areas demonstrating the technological and design advances from 1953 to 2013. As well as a fascinating future concept allowing an insight into future heritage expected over the next 60 years.
Exhibitors across the Design & Technology sector included John Bell & Croydon, founded in 1798 and pharmacists to HM the Queen, who showcased their business in pharmaceutical products.
Innovators Roberts Radio Limited are the UK brand leader in the portable radio market and is sold around the world from Japan to USA. Roberts continues to develop technologies to introduce many industry 'firsts' including 'the first DAB / FM radio for the iPod' and the 'first truly portable DAB / Wi Fi radio'.
