Willard Conservation Ltd
Design & Technology
Willard Conservation is based in Chichester, West Sussex and for well over 50 years the Willard Family have manufactured tools and equipment designed specifically for use in the conservation, restoration & preservation of works of fine art and historic media. Willard products are in daily use in leading museums, galleries, archives and in private conservation studios of all sizes around the world.
In the 1950's Willard launched the very first commercially available heated hand tool system, designed initially for use in the conservation and repair of works of fine art. These tools were very well received and quickly became established across a broad field of conservation applications. Building upon this success, the product selection was further expanded to encompass an equally well known range of heated and non-heated suction tables and many other innovative products.
Willard Conservation continues today, as a family run business with innovation, quality and reliability remaining at the heart of the business. Willard technicians work in close collaboration with conservators to enhance and refine the range of tools & equipment available and by developing new tools and equipment to meet the increasing challenges of conservation in the 21st Century, whilst maintaining proven accuracy and dependability.
