Truefitt and Hill

Style, Pursuits & Pastimes

Heritage and innovation are the hallmark of Truefitt and Hill, the world's oldest barbershop. Founded in 1805 in the heart of London's fashionable Mayfair, this institution continues to offer the same quality and styling that has courted Royalty, high-society and those who appreciate the finest in men's grooming. Today, located on St James Street, Truefitt & Hill has an international reputation not only for the pomp and pageantry of the royal palace but also as a center of excellence.

Throughout Truefitt's unique history, the company has had the honour of serving the Monarchs of Great Britain during nine consecutive reigns, which extended over the last 200 years. Over this period, Truefitt's held many Royal Warrants and being "By Royal Appointment" is often the envy of other, less revered establishments. Truefitt & Hill currently hold the Royal Warrant to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.

Mentioned by Charles Dickens and W. Thackeray in their novels, Truefitt & Hill enjoy the unique privilege to claim the title of Britain's, Europe's and the World's oldest, yet still established, gentlemen's barbershop, as authenticated by the "Guinness Book of World Records". This sets the scene for a history that is colourful, inventive and pioneering.

Truefitt & Hill has confirmed to be a profitable venture across the world borders as is not only proven by successful distribution of products in various countries around the globe, but also by extremely successful London, Chicago, Toronto, Beijing and Malaysian based shops.

We aim for the future to reflect our company's rich heritage and unblemished reputation of the past. We aim for the name of Truefitt & Hill to be instantly recognisable throughout the world as a mark of a true gentleman and to be synonymous with unsurpassed service, superb products and outstanding value.

Truefitt & Hill's mission is to expand on its proud, over two centuries of tradition and to have the honour of continuing to provide the highest standard of service to future generations of the Royal Family as well as to a new generation of patrons across the continents. Truefitt & Hill today, is a mark of a true gentleman and it will continue to be so for the next 200 years.
