Fiona Rae's Limited Edition Cufflinks - The Queen's Beasts

After graduating with a degree in jewellery design from Central St Martins, Fiona came to the attention of The Prince of Wales when he presented her with an award for Best Product at a Trade Fair. Fiona started her business with a loan from The Prince's Trust and has since developed it into two parts. Firstly a range of vitreous enamel jewellery and cufflinks, which she has sold in galleries worldwide and while the other side focuses on creating luxury jewellery featuring precious metals, diamonds and precious gems. Close family links to one of London's top gem merchants enables her to source exceptional stones for clients. She offers a full design and manufacture service, with all work made in the UK.

To commemorate the 60 year reign of Elizabeth II in 2013, a series of Limited Edition cufflinks called "The Queen's Beasts" have been designed. The term originates from a series of sculptures originally commissioned to stand at Westminster Abbey for the Queens Coronation in 1953. The Cufflinks symbolise the "The White Lion of Mortimer" and "The Griffin of Edward III"(a mythical half lion, half eagle). The Cufflinks are limited edition with 50 pairs per design, each engraved by QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) Scholar Ruth Anthony. QEST is the charitable arm of The Royal Warrant Holders Association, which enables outstanding craftspeople to further their skills. Fiona has been a Trustee at QEST for seven years.
